Precautions for the maintenance and care of offset printing machines

The factories have also started operation one after another. Never let the printing press suffer from the post-holiday syndrome as well.

So, before starting up the machine, what preparations should the printing factory make? Let's debug the equipment properly, get started smoothly and seek a good omen!

To ensure the normal operation of the printing machine after the long holiday and avoid or reduce the occurrence of malfunctions, the work after the holiday should be carried out in accordance with the following requirements:

The first task to do when returning to work after the holiday:

1.If the temperature in the workshop is found to be low after the holiday, the air conditioner around the machine should be turned on 4 hours in advance to raise the temperature of the entire machine and the environment to reach the normal printing state.

2. Do not perform any operation within 5 minutes after the power supply of the main unit is connected. Wait until the lubricating oil of the main unit circulates to every lubrication point of the machine before starting it up.

3. Start the air compressor. Once the air inside the compressor reaches the set value (automatically stops), slowly open the air valve of the air compressor to supply air to the main unit.

4. Check if there are any foreign objects on the equipment and between the rollers, and turn the machine forward and backward.

5. After cleaning the surface of the cylinder, install the rubber blanket and the printing plate, and install and adjust the pressure of the ink roller.

6. Slow down the machine for 1 hour, check the operation of the ink roller, clutch pressure and other auxiliary devices, and listen for the air release sounds when each solenoid valve operates to confirm whether they are working properly. While the machine is running slowly, other preparatory work can also be done.

7. Check that the machine is in a low-speed state and confirm whether the reading of the ammeter on the main electrical cabinet is the same as that when the machine was shut down before the festival.

8.After completing the above startup preparations, you can start printing.
